Interfaces to 3rd party devices like Phone Systems, Internet Gateways, POS systems, Energy Management, etc. are achieved using Comtrol’s LLPTS application.
Please read this for more information: http://help.execu-tech.com/ExecuSuite/default.aspx?pageid=comtrol_interfaces
Each interface is defined by a separate DMM or Device Manufacture and Model. Each Comtrol DMM is a separate interface and they will be billed separately, even if they are for the same device. For example, your phone system may require a separate interface (DMM) for the Voicemail, Call Data and PBX function. In this case, the phone system will require 3 separate DMMs and will be billed as 3 separate interfaces. The potential for combining these interfaces is discussed in the link provided, above and combining can save on cost and complexity.
While we can help you narrow down which of Comtrol’s interfaces (DMM) will be required, in many cases you may need to contact the device vendor to identify the specific interface based on the devices requirements. Your device’s model might not be listed but it may use the same interface specifications as another model and your vendor can help determine this. Also, even though TCP/IP might not be checked off as one of the communication methods, the interface may still work via TCP/IP as long as the device supports it and the message structure is the same.
Comtrol’s lists of interfaces (DMM) can be found here: http://support.comtrol.com/products/supported-gss-devices
If Comtrol is the server, enter the IP address where Comtrol’s LLPTS application will be installed. Once installed, we will provide you with the port number assigned by Comtrol. This IP address and port number will be entered into your device’s configuration so that it can connect to Comtrol. If Comtrol is the client, enter the IP address and port provided by the device so that Comtrol can connect to it.
